Contributions from companies such as Armbruster Engineering, Bucher Hydraulics, Hettich-Heinze, John Deere, Bossard, Autokühler, Riese & Müller, Voith Turbo, Moog GAT, and Erich Stallkamp showcased innovative approaches and practical solution strategies. They facilitated a valuable exchange on industry-specific challenges.
Following a successful reception dinner on the first evening, the second day was dedicated to professional insights and success stories that paved the way for sustainable improvements in the production environment. The presentations provided insights into a variety of topics – from cutting-edge software development and production planning to best-practice examples from everyday industrial practice. This intensive day not only promoted knowledge transfer but also stimulated lively discussions that deepened the understanding of complex production processes.
On the evening of the second day, the participants had another opportunity for informal discussions. Those who wished could take part in a guided tour of the castle, organized by the Hessischer Jägerhof Foundation, and explore the historic ambience. Alternatively, our colleague Ms. Miedtank invited everyone to join a power walk—a welcome opportunity to get some fresh air and get some exercise before dinner.
The meeting culminated in practical tours of the Borg Warner plants in Darmstadt and Langen on the third day. These tours offered direct insights into state-of-the-art manufacturing processes and impressively demonstrated how technical innovations and efficient workflows are implemented in practice. Not only were current technologies presented, but potential for further developments to meet the increasing demands of the industry were also discussed.
The event impressively underscored how the ELAM software system acts as a central element of modern worker assistance systems and efficiently optimizes processes. At the same time, the importance of ELAM Enterprise and ELAM Solutions as integrative building blocks for industrial progress became clear. The comprehensive exchange and enriching insights demonstrated the value of thinking outside the box – an aspect that will continue to be a focus at future events.
This event once again demonstrated that interdisciplinary dialogue and mutual learning are crucial factors for overcoming challenges in manufacturing and driving sustainable innovation.
